"We started building our home theater about a year ago when we finished off our basement, and we thought it would be a good idea to have a huge screen for playing video games and watching the Braves! We went to many home theater stores and they all said that you cant build a home theater for less than $10,000, but we are proud to say that we did it for less that $6000 not including the construction. The theater took about 2 months to complete mostly because we built the speakers into the walls so they are not visible, and we built all the components in the wall as well so no wires are showing.

After researching for months on equipment, we finally bought a Panasonic PT-AE900U because of its great price, resolution, and HD capabilities. We also decided to get the Harman Kardon CP25 7.1 system even though the room is relatively small. Also, we bought a 120" Elite screen, which delivers excellent picture quality. Last, we added other small things like remote control lights and a touch screen remote.
